Currently the states of  Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and the territory of Puerto Rico have contracted with CITA to administer the CITA dental and dental hygiene examination.  West Virginia is a member state; however, at this time, CITA does not administer the dental and dental hygiene examinations in West Virginia.

The following jurisdictions recognize the results of the CITA examination:

Accepts the results of CITA examinations taken after September 1, 2007.
