Kansas will now recognize the results of the CITA examination for licensure purposes.

Revised Examination Fee and Filing Requirements 

First Time Test Takers - For the 2007-2008 CITA Examination Series all candidates, including junior and senior pre-graduation student candidates, who are filing to take a CITA examination for the first time must file a complete application, along with the required filing fees, not less than ninety (90) days before the date of the examination the candidate wishes to take.   

All candidates who are filing to take the CITA examination for the first time must submit a filing fee of $1,600 with the application.  This $1,600 filing fee requirement includes junior pre-graduation student candidates who are filing to take the Manikin portion of the examination.  For those junior student candidates eight hundred dollars ($800) of that $1,600 payment will be allocated to the initial Manikin Based examination and the remaining $800 will be applied to any subsequent retest or to the Patient Based examination taken during the following year. 

 Retest Examinations:  Candidates who are filing for a retest opportunity must file a complete application, along with the required filing fees, not less than thirty (30) days before the date of the examination the candidate wishes to take.  However, seating for retest candidates who file less than ninety (90) days before the examination date will be filled based from the remaining seats available after seating has been assigned for those candidates who filed more than ninety (90) days before the date of the examination.      

Candidates who have failed either Part II and/or III (Session 1) or Part IV and/or V (Session 2) must pay a retest examination fee of $800 for each testing session but not for each Part.
