Stanley L. Allen, DDS - (North Carolina)

Dr. Stanley AllenDr. Allen served as Past President of the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners from 2005-2006. He has been a member of the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners since August 1, 2001 and served as Secretary-Treasurer from 2004-2005. Dr. Allen graduated from Howard University in 1974. After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Allen completed a two-year dental practice residency at Long Island Jewish Hillside Medical Center in Queens, New York. He currently practices general dentistry in Greensboro, North Carolina. Dr. Allen is a current member of the North Carolina Dental Society and served as President of the Third District from 1995-1996. He is also past-president and current member of the Old North State Dental Society. Dr. Allen is also a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Society of Dental Anesthesiology, North Carolina Implant Associates Study Club, Guilford County Dental Society, Greensboro Medical Society, Greensboro Trauma Associates, Guilford County Wild Life Club, Episcopal Church of the Redeemer and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.


Carl H. Boykin, DDS - (Mississippi)Carl Boykin

Carl H. Boykin, D.D.S. is currently serving as Board Secretary from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. Dr. Boykin was appointed to the Board as the state-at-large dental member on July 1, 2008 for a six-year term ending June 30, 2014. Born on July 21, 1949, Dr. Boykin received his dental degree from Howard University School of Dentistry in 1976. After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Boykin served in the United States Army from May 1976 through June 1979, after which he began his dental practice in Vicksburg, Mississippi from June 1979 through July 1980. In July 1980, Dr. Boykin began his private practice in Jackson, Mississippi, where he continues to practice today. Dr. Boykin's professional memberships include the American Association of Dental Examiners, Southern Conference of Dental Deans and Examiners, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Pankey Institute Alumni Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Equilibration Society, Mississippi Dental Association, and Mississippi Dental Society.

Sam J. Citrano, Jr, DMD - (Alabama)

Sam CitranoSam Citrano, Jr., D.M.D. is a newly appointed Board member to the Alabama State Board of Dental Examiners. Dr. Citrano received his dental degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1996 and graduated with honors in prosthodontics. Dr. Citrano is a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Huntsville/Madison County Dental Society, Peer Review Committee for the 8th District of Alabama Dental Association and the Dr. C.C. Bass Study Club. From 2000-2003, Dr. Citrano served on the Council on New Dentists of the 8th District of the Alabama Dental Association and is the Past-President of the Huntsville/Madison County Dental Society (2004). In 2010, Dr. Citrano received the University of Alabama School of Dentistry Young Alumnus of the Year. Dr. Citrano enjoys golfing, bowling, cooking and attending the University of Alabama football games.

 

 

George D. Conard,Jr., DDS - (West Virginia)

George D. Conard, D.D.S. is currently serving as a board member on the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners. Dr. Conard has previously served three different terms since 1995, and served as President in 2000. Dr. Conard earned his pre-DDS degree at Marshall University in Huntington, WV and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. In addition to the WV Board, he has also been a member of the American Association of Dental Examiners since 1995, where he served as President in 2006-2007, and previously as Third Vice President and Chair of the Budget & Finance Committee. Dr. Conard is a current member of the Joint Commission National Dental Examinations and has served as a Dental Examiner on both the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners and the Southern Regional Testing Agency. Professional organizations that Dr. Conard has been actively involved in since 1982 include the American Dental Association, the West Virginia Dental Association and the Huntington Dental Society.


Rhonda C. Harper, RDH - (Mississippi)

Rhonda C. Harper, RDH was born on February 25, 1960, Ms. Harper received her dental hygiene degree from the University of Mississippi in 1980. After receiving her dental hygiene degree, Ms. Harper engaged in the private practice of dental hygiene with various general dentists and periodontists. Ms. Harper served on the Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners as the dental hygiene member-at-large from 2003 - 2009. Ms. Harper's professional memberships include the American Association of Dental Examiners, Southern Conference of Dental Deans and Examiners, American Dental Hygienists' Association, and Mississippi Dental Hygienists' Association.

 





Jeffrey D. Hartsog, DMD - (Mississippi)
Dr. Jeffrey Hartsog

Jeffery D. Hartsog, D.M.D. currently is serving as Board Vice-President from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. Dr. Hartsog served as Board Secretary from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, and he was appointed to the Board from Mississippi's fourth dental district on July 1, 2009 for a six-year term ending June 30, 2015. Born on January 28, 1947, Dr. Hartsog received his dental degree from the University of Mississippi in 1984. After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Hartsog was an instructor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry and subsequently began his private practice in Jackson, Mississippi. In addition to his private dental practice, Dr. Hartsog is affiliated with the Hinds County Sheriff's Department and is an adjunct professor of veterinary medicine at Mississippi State University. Dr. Hartsog's professional memberships include the American Association of Dental Boards, Southern Conference of Dental Deans and Examiners, American Dental Association, and Mississippi Dental Association.



Michelle G. Klenk RDH, EdD - (West Virginia)

Michelle G. Klenk RDH EdD is currently serving a 5 year term on the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners as the dental hygiene member.   Dr. Klenk earned her dental hygiene bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University, a Master’s degree in Dental Auxiliary Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a doctorate in Education Administration from West Virginia University. She served as Director of Dental Hygiene at West Virginia University Institute of Technology from 1987-2001 and is currently a consultant and continuing education presenter in the dental field specializing in the areas of OSHA/Infection control, Substance Abuse, Medical Emergencies and Medically Compromised patients.  Dr. Klenk is a current member and past president of the West Virginia Dental Hygienists Association. She is a member of the American Association of Dental Examiners and in addition to her role in CITA she also serves as a board examiner for the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners and the Southern Regional Testing  Agency .   Dr. Klenk also works with her husband Dr. Bill Klenk in their general dental practice in Hico, WV.  Michelle resides in Fayetteville with her husband and their two daughters Rebecca (18) and Sarah (15).  She is an active member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Youth Group Leader.  In her spare time she enjoys reading and travel.


Romell J. Madison, DDS - (Louisiana)

Dr. Madison is the newly elected Treasurer on the CITA Board of Directors and isa current Board Member ofthe Louisiana State Board of Dental Examiners.  In addition, he is currentlyon the Louisiana Supreme Court Judicial Oversight Committee, and is the President of Millennium Nursing Services, Inc.  Past professional activities include President of the National Dental Association in 2003, Vice-Chairman of the Minority Health Affairs Commission from 1999-2004 and President of the New Orleans Dental Society from 1999-2000.  Along with his work, Dr. Madison has also been consistently involved in community service projects and organizations, working to advise andencourage young people to considerdental careers. Dr. Madison has a broad career spectrum, which includes Pharmacology where he still holds pharmacy licenses in the states of Louisiana and Tennessee.  His educational background includes Louisiana State University 1973, Xavier University College of Pharmacy, BS, 1975 and Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, DDS,1984.  Currently, Dr. Madison is in private practice in Gretna, Louisiana and also serves as a Dental Surgery StaffPhysician at four hospitals in the New Orleans area.


Dean Manning, DDS - (Louisiana)

ManningDean L. Manning, D.D.S. has been a member of the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry for two years.  He received his pre-dental degree from McNeese State College and received his dental degree from Louisiana  State University in 1973.  Dr. Manning served active duty as a US Naval Reserve dental officer (Lieutenant) in Mayport, Florida, from 1973-1975. In addition to being a CITA member, Dr. Manning is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the Southwest district Dental Association, and the AADE. Professional services include Southwest district treasurer for 2 years,  vice-president,  president and alternate board member for the Louisiana Dental Association for 2 years, and also served on the Distinguished Service Committee for 5 years.  In addition, Dr. Manning served on the Liaison Committee with the Louisiana Dental Association and the New Orleans Dental Association for the state meeting, 2 years. Dr. Manning has a private practice and resides in Sulphur, Louisiana with his wife, Pam, who blessed him with two sons, one daughter andseven grandchildren.  His hobbies include music (trumpet), tennis, sailing, hunting, fishing, making gold jewelry and cooking.


M. W. Wester, III, DDS - (North Carolina)

M.W. WesterDr. M.W. "Buddy" Wester was nominated in August of 2008 to serve on the CITA Board of Directors as the representative for the North Carolina StateBoard of Dental Examiners.  Dr. Wester is a 1980 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry.  He has a private practice in his hometown of Henderson, North Carolina, where he has been practicing general dentistry since 1980.  Dr. Wester was elected to serve a three (3) year term as a member of the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners in July of 2008. Prior to being elected, Dr. Wester served as a former deputy examiner for  for the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners.  Dr. Wester serves as CITA's Calibration Committee Chairman and is also a Calibrator and Examiner Trainer.  He is a member of the North Carolina Dental Society where he is a former Fourth District Delegate,Alternate.  Dr. Wester is also a member of the American Dental Association, the UNC Dental Alumni Association, UNC Rams Club, Henderson Rotary Club and the American Cancer Society - Vance County Chapter where he served one term as President.  Dr. Wester is also the former Vice President of the Vance County Chapter forHabitat for Humanity, member of the Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce, Fourth Term Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Henderson and a member of the Gateway Dental Society where he served as President from 1980-1995.
