Dental Examination Manual
The dental examination manuals have been broken down into three (3) parts: Part I (General Information), Part II (Administration of the Patient-Based/Manikin Based Examination) and Part III (Appendices). Part I is an overview of CITA, its examination components and the application process. Part II covers the logistics regarding the CITA Patient-Based/Manikin Based examination and its administration and Part III contains the Glossary and necessary forms that are required for the examination. The manuals may either be downloaded from the CITA website or a hardcopy may be obtained by submitting a request in writing to the CITA office, along with a certified check or money order. Each examination manual is $25.00 per copy.
Every effort has been made to ensure the manuals are accurate, comprehensive, clear and up-to-date. However, there may be instances when examination related instructions must be updated or clarified during the examination year. When this situation occurs, those changes will be posted on CITA’s website.
All candidates who take the CITA examination are responsible for reading and understanding the CITA examination manual(s), any website documented changes to the published CITA manual(s) and for reviewing and understanding all other material provided by CITA. Candidates are also responsible for addressing any questions that they have regarding such material by directing those questions to the CITA office.
Prior to taking a CITA examination each candidate will be required to sign a form certifying that he/she has reviewed the CITA manual and other material provided by CITA and that he/she has addressed and resolved all questions prior to the date of the examination.
Failure of a candidate to review and master the guidelines provided by CITA to the point that such failure has significant adverse impact upon that candidate’s ability to efficiently and effectively take the CITA examination may result in dismissal from and subsequent failure of the examination.
